WINTER IN LOS ANGELES

It does not snow on my block

But I can see the snow on

The San Gabriel Valley

Mountains from my front window.

I do not care to touch the

Snow. I have felt it before

When I was a child. I liked it.

Winter in Los Angeles

Is not so cold, which is why

I like it here. I am told

I would not even miss it

At all if I moved Northwest.

That is where the woman I

Once loved went. What good would it

Do for me to go there, if

I could not be with her?

I ALWAYS STOP MYSELF

The green iguana,
subtle in its
suggestions,
wants me to stab
myself to death.

I always stop myself
and cut its tail off
instead. This only
makes it angry
as it grows a

new tail It whispers
in my ear and
says I'm worthless.
It wants the whole
world to be dead.

THE OLD TIME MACHINE

In an icy cave

Without lights

There it was under

Icicles

The old time machine

Hidden from

A world desperate

To be saved
